Hi!   Welcome to my fundraising page for The Healing NETs Foundation.  

This is a fund raiser to help raise money for an organization that provides support, community, patient resources, and research for Neuroendocrine Tumors or more commonly known as NETs. One of the board members for this organization is Dr. Eric Liu, who was my mom's surgeon and who saved her life.

A little background for you:

Almost a year ago my mom was diagnosed with NETs. As you can imagine, we were devasted, terrified, and a little hopeless. Hearing that you have a rare form of cancer that is considered terminal is a very scary piece of news. It has been a long and hard  journey so far, and we still have a long way to go. It is with the help of organizations and people like Dr. Liu that make inovations in science to provide better and more efficient care for people like my mom. The work that Dr. Liu does, along with The Healing NET is vital to giving the same opportunity my mom got to many others who also suffer from the same or similar diseases. 

So, Evan and I have decided to help raise money for this organization by running a 10K. The race we have chosen is called Run the Rock race at Red Rocks Ampitheather on October 8th.  We are hoping to raise at least $1,000.00 for the Healing NET Foundation.  I will post about my runs, and share my progress. I will also open up my runs to anyone that wants to join me. For extra excitment, the race day will have beers and bands playing so if you want to come and watch me attempt to finish my race up the famous Red Rocks stairs, please do so.  Also if you feel inclined please share this with everyone so we can get as many people involved as possible!
